Located on the shore of the LaHave River that flows into the Atlantic Ocean, you can unwind on the expansive deck and watch the boats go by. Life slows down and spectacular sunrises will play out before you as you find time for conversation and reflection. Situated on a very private point, home to one of Canada's National Historic Sites, former site of Fort Sainte Marie de Grace, established in 1632 as the first capital of Acadia, now Fort Point Museum. The area offers privacy and seclusion with easy access to the La Have Ferry. This area is noted for it's craft shops, kayak rentals, and hiking trails, as well as fresh lobsters from the local community stores. The famous LaHave Bakery serving delicious bake goods and fresh foods is a 5-minute walk away. Fort Point Cottage is an immaculate home that radiates charm, comfort and its' owners commitment to tasteful renovation. A short drive will take you to the communities of Lunenburg a UNESCO world heritage site, Mahone Bay and Chester. Enjoy chartered boat tours, fishing, hiking, bicycling, whale/seal/dolphin watching, artist studios, antiques and galleries. If you're bring your own boat, you can arrange moorings and launching at the LaHave River Yacht Club or launch at the public boat launch on Bush Island.
